Sherbet is the name of my new bedroom pop indie band, and this is a poster that I made for a Valentine's Day show. Steve Olson and Audrey Axt of Telegram for Sam performed along side me that night and sherbet ice cream was served to guests. It was a great turn out and I certainly hope to play a show amongst friends again.
This poster was a collaboration between myself and Kristina Mooney, a fine artist and alumni from the College of Visual Arts. She essentially drew a small sketch of an ice cream cone on a piece of paper, which was later scanned in an added to the layout with type.
The title Sherbet & Friends was inspired by the cartoon show, Garfield & Friends, which I used to love and watch as a toddler. Also, the colors added to the type and heart were taken from a rainbow sherbet color palette.
